Our panel brings together extensive skills and experience in assisting clients with injury recovery and a smooth return to work. By sharing our expertise, we ensure the best possible rehabilitation outcomes.

As occupational therapists we are specialists in rehabilitation; we take a holistic approach.

We work closely with the client to assist their recovery following an accident, focusing on return to work.

We design a specific rehabilitation programme with each client, tailored to their individual needs and circumstances.

Independence works has developed a vocational rehabilitation toolkit as a reference for all our members to share knowledge and expertise.

Efficient data analysis allows us to spot trends, evaluate service quality and improve our case outcomes.

As occupational therapists, our focus is on ‘all the things we need, want or have to do’. (Wilcock, 2006)

Independence Works analyses its outcome data very carefully and has done so for more than ten years. We know what works and why and can prove it.

Our goal is to help our clients to live their best life – it's very personal.

When appropriate, we visit the client in their homes, at work or in the community – from Guernsey to the Outer Hebrides, from Belfast to York and back.

Caroline Gregory

Caroline is a highly experienced and skilled occupational therapist and case manager, specialising in rehabilitation case management following complex trauma including catastrophic injury / polytrauma, amputation, acquired brain injury, peripheral nerve injury and psychological challenges.

Kate McGoldrick

Since qualifying in 2003, Kate has had extensive clinical experience in hospital and community settings. Primarily working with adults, she has a wide-ranging skill set that encompasses assessment and rehabilitation following musculoskeletal injuries, acquired and traumatic brain injuries and age-related changes. Please note that Kate is currently on sabbatical leave, returning to work with Independence Works in January 2027.

Catherine is a highly experienced and skilled case manager and occupational therapist based in North East Scotland. Her skills span vocational rehabilitation clients as well as those who have sustained serious, complex and life-changing injuries.

Since qualifying in 1998, Joanne's clinical practice has been dedicated to enhancing independence and supporting meaningful engagement in daily life. She has worked across hospital, community and third-sector settings, with particular expertise in musculoskeletal, neurological and complex long-term conditions.
